Current Projects

Lake Hope State Park
Athens Bicycle Club (ABC) has been working closely with Lake Hope State Park over the last few years to develop and maintain a dual use trail network in the park. ABC has logged over a thousand volunteer hours working to create 23miles of trails for hikers and bikers to enjoy.

ABC Receives Certificate of Appreciation from Lake Hope State Park
It's no secret that mountain bikers from all over Ohio and beyond appreciate the trails ABC has built at Lake Hope State Park near Zaleski. Lake Hope State Park officials appreciate all the hard work, too, and now the club has a framed certificate of appreciation to prove it! On Sunday, August 10, during an awards ceremony Park Naturalist Dave Sapienza and Park Manager Randy Zeisler presented club members with a framed certificate of appreciation. Sapienza and Zeisler thanked the club for the thousands of volunteer hours that have resulted in more than 18 miles of new singletrack and increased park usage.
Hooray, ABC!

Strouds Run State Park/ Athens Trials
ABC is working with the Athens Trails Project to build new dual use trails on the ridges between the city of Athens and Strouds Run State Park.

We are working with Strouds Run State Park to provide recommendations for improvements and additions to the park's trail network.
