Athens Bicycle Club Meeting, September 09, 2003

Present: Malcolm Idleman, Tina Hall, Tracy Kitts, Adam Tiffany, Ben Appleby, Ellen Gerl, Kaleb McCutcheon, Jim Schulz

1. IMBA Mountain Bike Patrol

Tracy contacted IMBA and has filed the forms and paid the fees necessary for the ABC to become an IMBA recognized national patrol group. Club members present discussed the application process. Tracy reported on the possibilty of getting free patrol jerseys for individual members.

2. Tour of Athens to Zaleski

Club members present discussed the upcoming Tour of Athens to Zaleski on September 20-21. All arrangements have been made. Tracy will call Big Chimney on Tuesday, September 16 with a final head count.

3. Strouds Run and Burr Oak

Tracy reported that Randy Wachter indicated interest in starting "Friends of the Park"
volunteer program and would like to discuss this at a future ABC meeting. No date
has been set for this discussion.

4. Work Party at Lake Hope

A tentative date of Saturday, October 25 was set for a work party at Lake Hope.

5. Fall Trip for ABC

Date discussed was Oct. 17-19
Several locales have been discussed...no decisions made.

6. Next Meeting

The next ABC meeting will be at the Athens Public Library on Tuesday, October 14 at 7:15 p.m.
